Be careful what you wish for. While June was a typical Dutch summer month, with showers and only mildly warm, July became a month with some of the hottest days ever measured in the Netherlands. It was uncomfortable at times, but also a chance for me to wear a lot of my summer dresses! Some of these dresses only leave the closet once a year, so you can imagine my excitement about this heat wave. Here is a roundup of what I wore in July.
For the love of lemons
There’s just something about a lemon print that I can’t resist. When Chicwish sent me this skirt to review, I was so thrilled. The print has a distinct 50’s/60’s feel and the fabric is a cool cotton with linen.

The next dress is an all-time favourite. It cost me next to nothing but the quality is very good. I wear it with a tulle skirt underneath, a wide belt to cinch in the waist and feel like a million lemons in it.

This is an oldie, but still in love with it. It has a beautiful boat neckline and the skirt is super wide, just how I like it. Lindy Bop decided to bring back this dress this summer, so it’s still available!

Hearts and Roses
This London based brand makes fun and feminine clothing. Here are a few of my favourites from their summer collection.

Tulle!
Of course I wore tulle. I always wear tulle (okay, not always).
This next skirt from Chicwish is so beautiful and a real eye catcher, despite its soft colour. I wear it a lot, in summer and winter.

This Shein skirt was so pretty, I got it in bright pink and white. I don’t know which one I like best, you decide!

Now on to August. Hopefully a little less warm!
